iolanda is one of Portuguese music’s rising stars. Her unique, warm sound mixes pop and R&B with traditional Portuguese and Spanish music, influenced by fado and Andalusian music. She returned to Portugal after studying songwriting in London and began the process of creating the EP, which finds her exposing her vulnerability, seeking to heal emotional scars (as the title alludes). She’s also a member of the AVALANCHE collective, whose members - including Luar, LEFT, and NED FLANGER - who helped her produce a pair of the tracks on Cura.
