The Afronauts

The Afronauts is a multinational band formed in 2019 and based in Krakow, Poland. They are a colourful and dynamic group set on delivering energetic performances to their audiences. Groove, rhythm, colour, and audience participation lies at the heart of what The Afronauts are about. The principle of the band is to spread good vibrations and to dissolve the barrier between audience and performers, aiming to unite all audience members through their highly interactive performances. The repertoire of the band consists of classic afrobeat tunes, as well as original tunes written in the same style. The Afronauts combine the best in afrobeat, funk and jazz. The Polish-African music scene is embracing a new wave of energy injected by The Afronauts. The band was received with great enthusiasm at the “Wianki Festival” in Krakow in 2019. They also played as the supporting act for the legendary band Tinariwen.
