Santiago’s Golosa Le Orquesta (‘golosa’ translates as ‘sweet tooth’) delivers an explosive mix of Latin American rhythms interpreted with the power of rock, the freedom of swing and gypsy jazz, and the diversity of world music.
Mixing Milonga, Chachachá, Bolero, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Festejo, they create magic.
Influenced by leading figures such as hot jazz guitarist Panchito Cabrera, as well as other Chilean bohemian musicians of the 1950s, Golosa la Orquesta began playing on an underground circuit of bowling alleys and bars of Santiago in 2012. Since then, they’ve released 3 albums and toured Europe 3 times – wowing audiences wherever they’ve played.
Their performances revive popular classic Latin American rhythms and interpret them in contemporary ways, so folks you like can experience them “from the body and the party” – a music of “celebration and conscience”.
Golosa La Orquesta is: Danka Villanueva (Violin), Carolina Martínez (Vocal, cuatro guitar), Gus Valenzuela (Guitars), Hugo Jara (Drums and percussion), Nicolás Romero (Keyboards, synthetizers).
